Archie Rose & Black Star Pastry
It took over nine months to find the site for the distillery, but it was well worth the wait considering the company we are in. With Black Star Pastry, Kitchen by Mike, Koskela and Da Mario all (literally) at our doorstep, we’re not only guaranteed great coffee every morning, but we have access to incredible food.
There are far too many ideas flying around to mention them all at this stage, but to kick it off, Black Star Pastry has designed three beautiful shared platters for us to serve daily at the bar. Straight from our menu, you’ll find:

##Meat & Cheeses
Black Star’s famous sourdough ‘miche’ roll that can be layered with both cured and roast meats, crumbled onto with aged farmhouse cheddar and soft cheese and dipped into a botanical salsa verde and a tarragon-seeded mustard all alongside cornichon pickles.
##Fruit, Roots & Seeds
Suitable for most dietary requirements, a tasty stack of marinated grilled veggies and chef’s sous vide Dutch carrots, a chickpea fritter, flaxseed crackers and a gluten-free roll, offered up with botanical salsa verde, tarragon-seeded mustard and beetroot dip.
##Pastries & Sweets
Known for its desserts, Black Star picks its best of the day for you. A ask for today’s selection or be pleasantly surprised.
Luckily, Black Star are baking through the night, so we just wander over, they put them together on the spot and we bring them back to the bar. If you’re lucky, you may even get a roll fresh out of the oven! We love these little collaborations, where we all do what we do best and the result is delicious.
