Ten Years of Tailored Spirits
Since launching a decade ago, our Tailored Spirits program has embodied Archie Rose’s commitment to personalisation, creativity, and education. What began as handwritten labels on unique Tailored blends at our original Rosebery distillery alongside Blend Your Own Gin & Whisky Experiences has since grown into an incredible way of fully customising gin, whisky and vodka from liquid to label.
We began with Tailored Gin and Vodka, which give you the opportunity to choose from a diverse range of local and native botanicals or a selection of preset blends crafted by the Archie Rose production team.
Today we also offer a palette of over 12 label colours and original artworks, as well as the ability to personalise a name on the front and a heartfelt message on the back of every bottle.
Over the years, we’ve partnered with artists and cultural partners such as the National Gallery of Australia and Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, to create limited-edition label designs. Our range has also expanded to include Tailored Whisky in 2023, giving people the opportunity to craft a completely unique whisky by building on a base of Archie Rose Single Malt Whisky, and then adding up to two individual Australian malts, each representing a different flavour profile.
In 2024, we brought Tailored to life in a whole new way with the launch of Tailored Live, providing people with pop-up retail experiences at venues around Australia as well as at the Archie Rose Cellar Door in Rosebery, Sydney. You can currently find us at Melbourne Central through to 28 December. This year also saw the launch of a dedicated corporate gifting website and the introduction of beautifully packaged gift boxes alongside whisky Glencairns and other glassware.
Along the way we’ve scooped awards for Tailored Spirits including the Australian Financial Review’s Most Innovative Retail, Hospitality & Tourism company, and thanks to the tens of thousands of Blend Your Own Gin & Whisky Experiences held at our venue in Rosebery, Sydney over the last ten years, we’ve been twice awarded the World’s Best Distillery Experience.
One of the loveliest aspects of working at Archie Rose is the daily pleasure of reading the labels - we’re constantly moved by marriage proposals, milestone birthdays, and other celebrations.
