Our Journey to Becoming a B Corp™ Certified Business

After a long and dedicated journey full of collaboration and continuous improvement, we are thrilled to announce that Archie Rose is officially a Certified B Corp!

Earning B Corp certification has been years in the making. From our very first bottle of distilled spirits, our grain-to-glass ethos has always been a part of our mission. Now, we have a badge to wear proudly to ensure we continue to meet these benchmarks day in, day out. We were assessed across five key impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customer that required us to provide rigorous, evidence-based responses across more than 250 assessment criteria.

"Becoming a Certified B Corp means a lot to us” explains Will Edwards, Founder, Archie Rose Distilling Co. “It's recognition of the way we've always tried to do things, looking after our people, our community and the environment, not just what's in the bottle. We're genuinely proud to reach this milestone. B Corp certification isn't easy to achieve, and it's not something you tick off and forget, it keeps us accountable as we grow. It feels good to stand alongside a global community of businesses trying to do better."

We were recognised for a range of initiatives that support employee wellbeing and long-term growth, including inclusive hiring practices, diversity and inclusion programs, cross-functional training opportunities, study leave, bonus schemes and regular team social initiatives that contribute to a strong workplace culture and high staff retention.

Having built the largest independent distillery in the southern hemisphere, we are proud to now be sourcing 100% of our malts locally, partnering with local farmers to grow custom rye, barley and botanicals for our spirits. We have also developed innovative production methods, including the use of sustainably harvested native stringybark as an Australian alternative to imported Scottish peat in our smoky whisky production.

This certification reinforces our vision to continue to lead in innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability within the Australian distilling landscape. As we grow, we look forward to upholding our B Corp status by maintaining our transparency and keeping ethical distilling at the heart of everything we do.
