Australian whisky has in recent years gained a great deal of attention on the world stage. With awards, accolades and positive reviews coming from all corners of the globe, it’s an exciting time to be both drinking and making whisky in Australia.
Yet quality Australian whiskies are not a new phenomenon, the Australian whisky movement has been building for years with many distillers producing classy and idiosyncratic spirits. Home-grown distilleries are not merely a celebration of the craft of whisky making but embrace the unique climate and resources of the place they are made.
This masterclass will explore some of the distillers and producers who have forged their own path to acclaim. The five expressions will highlight the unique stories, visions and philosophies of their producer.
This session will be led by Archie Rose Venue Manager, Jonathan Liu, a whisky expert who has led countless masterclasses, spirits trainings, and large-scale tasting events.
