We did the cocktail making class then into the bar afterwards. The class was fun, the guys teaching it made everyone laugh and I learnt soo much -being an absolute novice. The bar is quaint, but such a nice place to either wind down your night or to get you started for the night.

I love this masterclass so much, and especially loved my teacher. He was funny, informative and had a real passion for cocktail making with gin. I didn’t realise there was such a science behind it. Could not recommend this high enough.

I did a cocktail making class here with Ben and it was excellent. Made some delicious cocktails and he explained the background and principles so well. Then popped into the bar where I had a lovely whiskey and was served by very hospitable staff.

We got a private room with a very knowledgeable gin-osuer, Hayden. He knew his trade and answered any and all questions threw at him, he was funny and engaging. I would highly recommend Archie Rose for an event with a difference and definitely ask for Hayden to be your presenter, but all staff were friendly and helpful.

Hands down the best cocktail experience I’ve ever had.
We were primarily served by Tanner (?) and not only were the drinks sublime, we had almost one of each but the staff genuinely loved and cared about the products, giving us honest personal reviews and spot on recommendations.
Great atmosphere and fantastic service that represent an amazing drop. Walked home with a bottle of signature dry gin that we’re enjoying now.
I would call this one of Sydney’s hidden gems.

Perfect for a different night out with friends! Lovely venue, handy to have the bar next door for food and drink before/ after. Made 3 different cocktails, the guy teaching us was great, not too intense. Great fun and good value :)
