WHAT IS ARCHIE HAND SANITISER AND WHY ARE WE MAKING IT?

In an effort to bolster supplies nationwide and maintain the employment of the Archie Rose Bar team during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we reallocated our spirits production capacity to hand sanitiser. The product formulation is a liquid rather than gel consistency made from our natural botanical gin distillates.

At 65% ABV, selected due to the restrictions that exist around shipping products that are 70% ABV and above, this product is consumer-grade, and not suitable for use in a medical setting or capacity. Please note that the natural botanical distillate combination may vary from batch to batch but will always come from the same 100% natural spirits we use for our gin production.

Ingredients: Ethanol (NSW Wheat Spirit), Water, Fragrance (Natural Botanical Distillates), Glycerol, Hydrogen Peroxide.

Natural Botanical Distillates (batch 1): grapefruit, cassia, cardamom and thyme.

Natural Botanical Distillates (batch 2): grapefruit, local honey and raspberry.

Natural Botanical Distillates (batch 3-8): Native finger lime, cassia and raspberry.

To be as fair as possible - balanced against our website, team and technical capabilities together with an unprecedented demand for this product - we are rolling out email updates to our Hand Sanitiser notification list based on when you subscribed.

CAN I GET A REFUND?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to issue refunds on this product based on the unique conditions that have lead to its production in response to COVID-19. In essence, as this wasn’t a product we were already making we’ve undertaken financial commitments around raw material purchase and the re-hire of more than 30 permanent and casual bar staff as possible to the bottling line (following the forced government bar shutdowns) based on our pre-sale orders. Our apologies that we’re not able to help in this instance and thank you so much for your understanding and support.

DOES THIS PRODUCT FIT TGA GUIDELINES?

IS ARCHIE ROSE LEGALLY ALLOWED TO MAKE THIS?

We have the required federal licences and dangerous goods approvals along with the access to raw materials and production team expertise.

HAS THIS BEEN TESTED?

The ingredients list is simply: Ethanol, Water, Natural Botanical Distillates, Glycerol & Hydrogen Peroxide (< 3% by volume so as to be excluded from the Poisons Standard). We have not conducted any other testing (other than using the product ourselves) as, based on our research, and the packaging/claims, or lack thereof, we are using, the product does not require it.

IS IT FOR SALE AT THE ARCHIE ROSE BAR?

Yes, we currently have limited stock available to purchase at our cellar door along with our spirits, bottled cocktails and merchandise for takeaway at the Archie Rose Bar.

WHAT COLOURS AND FORMATS DOES IT COME IN?

Based on the very short supply of 500ml bottles from key suppliers around Australia, we have a small allocation now available via our website only from 1 July of amber bottles with a lockable pump (while stocks last). Due to limited availability, the Archie Rose Bar will continue to stock white bottles with screw cap until sold out. The botanical distillate ingredients may also vary from batch to batch but will still come from the same 100% natural stock we use for our gin production.

IS IT A LIQUID OR GEL BASED FORMULA?

Our hand sanitiser is a liquid rather than gel formula and includes a selection of 100% natural botanical distillates available via our gin production.

ARE YOU MANUFACTURING FOR MEDICAL USE AND / OR IS THIS MEDICAL-GRADE?

Our most sincere apologies, as we appreciate the urgent need for medical-grade sanitiser solutions, but at this stage, we are unable to supply for medical use. We, like all Australians, are incredibly grateful for the continued efforts on the medical frontline during this extremely challenging time.
