Where We’ll Be Sipping Cocktails This Summer
Whether you’re planning a holiday, city-hopping to visit friends or family, or enjoying the best on offer in your neighbourhood this summer, there are a bunch of great cocktail bars around Australia — both old and new — with sunny signatures on the menu.
Here’s a rundown of some of the places we’ll be enjoying an Archie Rose this summer.
SYDNEY
Penelope's has just opened in Circular Quay and you can expect to see plenty of Archie Rose coming out of their bar, with gorgeous cocktails to behold.
The team at Blackwood Bondi have whipped up two summertime specials with the Archie Rose True Cut Vodka — so stop in for the Sunny Mary or Yuzu & Ginger Sgroppino.
Visit Old Love's, and down below at Old Mate's Place for the House Gin Martini.
The Waratah is the highly anticipated new venue from one of the country’s beloved bartenders, Evan Stroeve. Its doors have opened to Darlinghurst just in time for a cocktail summer. There’s an abundance of Archie Rose across the menu, too.
Vermuteria, Sydney’s newish classic Euro neighbourhood bar – is an easy place to wile away the languid hours of a summer afternoon. Plus, on Wednesdays and Thursdays order any two Archie Rose cocktails, and they’ll sling you a free snack from their menu.
Head to Tucano's for their ‘Disco Brunch’, and sip cocktails to live DJs and spinning disco balls every Saturday from 2 pm.
Piccolo Kings Cross is a pocket-sized neighbourhood aperitivo bar and diner with some stellar Archie Rose cocktails on the menu.
An opulent basement bar, Dulcie's cocktails are as decadent as the décor.
PERTH
Some of the best bar experiences in WA, Foxtrot Unicorn, Edward and Ida's and Nieuw Ruin – run by Foxtrot Group – are all pouring Archie Rose Fundamental Spirits this summer.
Bask in the sunshine atop Prince Lane’s rooftop and sip something from the Archie Rose Signature Serves menu, or enjoy the taste of summer with an Archie Rose Cocktail Jug.
For more drinking al fresco, there are rooftop cocktails with a view at the National Hotel in Fremantle.
ADELAIDE
Adelaide institution Hains and Co. have just launched a new cocktail list featuring the Rudderless, a delicious tropical number using our White Cane. If you ask nicely, they might even show you their new private whisky bar upstairs (Ralph Louis Frederick), with an entire shelf of our historical whisky releases.
Opt for a whisky cocktail at Baddog Bar and let the good times roll with one of the creative signatures at NOLA. It’s a “definitely” to the contemporary cocktail list at Maybe Mae.
Bar Peripheral continues to offer a highly-considered drinking experience, and Memphis Slims is serving Archie Rose slushies all summer long.
MELBOURNE
Black Kite Commune boasts an incredibly well-curated back bar with a laser focus on Australian spirits. Their impressive signature cocktail list features no less than two Archie Rose libations.
Studio Amaro is the new Italian-inspired jewel of Chapel St, where moreish dishes are uplifted by an expansive cocktail menu rich in Archie Rose spirits.
Head into Waxflower in Brunswick for the excellent wine list, and stay for the vinyl-spinning DJs and well-curated cocktail and spirits menu.
Bomba Rooftop is the perfect place to enjoy some summer tapas, alongside an expertly curated cocktail list — and, you guessed it — a classy rooftop setting.
BRISBANE
Try the Mirabelle cocktail at the much-loved Wood-fired bistro, Agnes.
Live the high life on the Terrace Rooftop Bar of the Emporium Hotel, and order the Para-Paradiso, served in Frank and made with our White Cane Rum.
And if you’re on the Gold Coast, pop into the Beachfront Bar at Mermaid Beach Surf Club, where you can now find Archie Rose as the house pour.
