Mardi Gras 2026 Cocktails
This year in the Archie Rose bar, the team have selected some of their favourite cocktails from our Mardi Gras menus over the years. These drinks are available at our bar during the Mardi Gras season. If you are feeling brave, you can make these at home!
Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Little Congwong (2024)
Our pick from 2024 this is a bougie sex on the beach, inspired by Sydney’s favourite cruise.
- 30mL Signature Dry Gin
- 13mL Peppercorn Vodka
- 6.5mL orange juice
- 25mL fresh peach puree
- 9mL grenadine
- 2 dashes bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake hard and serve up.
Glamour Shot (2025)
A riff on a Pornstar Martini, this is surprisingly elegant, despite the name. Served up with a shot of prosecco on the side.
- 50mL Bone Dry Gin
- 20mL lime juice
- 15mL Giffards Coconut Syrup
- 10mL passionfruit syrup
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake hard and serve up.
On the side, add a pinch of edible lustre dust to shot glass, and top with Prosecco
Hanky Panky (1921-2026)
Created by Ada Coleman at the Savoy in London in the 1920s, we’ve selected it for our friend Hannah Conda - it’s a naughty little boozy number, just like Hannah.
- 30mL Distiller’s Strength Gin
- 30mL sweet vermouth
- 5mL Fernet Branca
- orange bitters
Add ingredients to a mixing glass, strain into a coupe and garnish with an orange twist.
Heated Rye-Valry - 2026
Inspired by everyone’s favourite hockey players, this celebrates the best of Canada, by way of Oxford St. (Not served hot, unlike the show).
- 30mL White Rye
- 10mL Rye Malt Whisky
- 1 teaspoon blueberry jam
- 10mL maple syrup
- 5mL lime juice
- Top with ginger beer
Add all ingredients to the shaker except for ginger beer. Shake, and strain over crushed ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with two blueberries.
