Over the past 11 years our venue has welcomed tens of thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors through its doors. After our original distillery found a new home in Banksmeadow, we began to plan for the venue’s reimagination. Our venue has been named the World’s Best Distillery Experience three times - we’ve now built a space worthy of the accolades.
THE STILL ROOM
At the heart of the transformation is the Still Room, the original Archie Rose Distillery reimagined as an immersive space celebrating the art of distilling, blending and tasting.
Signature experiences, including hands-on Blend Your Own Whisky and Blend Your Own Gin classes, invite visitors to learn directly from expert hosts and craft their own uniquely Australian spirits to take home and enjoy. THE CELLAR DOOR
Attached to the Still Room, the revitalised Cellar Door introduces an elevated retail and tasting experience, showcasing the full range of Archie Rose’s award-winning spirits available to sample and purchase. You can also create a bespoke gin, whisky or vodka through our Tailored Spirits service, complete with a personalised label and back label message printed on the spot. The perfect gift, ready within minutes. There are even a few last bottles of some of our most limited releases.
For those seeking last-minute christmas gifts - we’re open until 6pm on Christmas Eve.

Free Archie Rose Tours & Tastings in the Still Room
To celebrate the relaunch, we’re offering complimentary one-hour tours and guided tastings of our award-winning signature range throughout January. Guests can step behind the scenes of Australia’s most awarded distillery to discover the craft and creativity behind every drop, before finishing with a guided tasting.
Distillery Experiences in Mandarin, Korean and Auslan
As part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, we’ve launched a new suite of experiences for both local and international visitors. This includes translated tours in Mandarin and Korean for group travellers, hotels and inbound partners, as well as Accessible Tours delivered in Auslan (Australian Sign Language).

Extended Opening Hours & Extra Experience Dates
We’ve extended our opening hours for summer, welcoming guests late into the evening from Tuesday to Sunday. We’ve also added plenty of additional class sessions between 22 December and 11 January - so if you’re in Sydney over the Christmas break, stop by and have the most fun you can have in a classroom.
The Original Bar
Over in the original bar we now have 85 historic Archie Rose releases in our collection. If there is something you missed out on buying online when it was released, we always keep a case or two for the bar. If you want to see if Archiemite was as crazy as it sounds, or miss having Emerald Fingerlime Gin at home, pop down and order a drink from our bar team.
You can also enjoy a limited selection of smoky whisky cocktails celebrating our new Smoked Cask Series, available only while stocks last.
