Return to Sandigo Heritage Rye Malt Whisky
Return to Sandigo Heritage Rye Malt Whisky
The fifteenth release in the Trials and Exceptions series, Return to Sandigo Rye Malt Whisky is a symbolic evolution of our very first Trials & Exceptions release, Sandigo Heritage Rye Malt and the celebration of Australian malts as the foundation to our whiskies.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Crisp Kanzi apples drenched in Beurre Noisette. The opening makes way for waves of hedonistic spice, whole black peppercorn, crushed ginger, and just a touch of eucalypt on the breeze.
Palate
The palate follows the nose, with spiced apple pie and shortcut pastry and creme caramel being followed by freshly shaved oak, cinnamon, cloves and black cardamom.
Finish
We are left with extensive spice notes of ginger, black pepper and cayenne pepper intermingled with well-integrated oak and freshly cut apples.
