Maple Syrup Double Smoked Single Malt Whisky
If there’s one thing we know, it’s that smoke and sweetness are fast friends. Think about delicious smoked American-style barbecue meats slathered in tangy sauces rich with the sweetness of brown sugar and molasses, or the sweet lacquer of teriyaki sauce on smoked eel sushi. So when we wanted something special to compliment our smoked single malt whisky, maple syrup seemed the perfect choice.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Maple syrup glazed smoked bacon, apricots and juicy mandarin combine with lightly toasted coconut and jacaranda blossoms.
Palate
Mouthfilling golden syrup drizzled over damper and peach transitions into campfire and roasted hazelnuts
Finish
A satisfying combination of subtle maple sweetness and drying oak is intermingled with smoke, nuts and floral notes.
Production Notes
Grain Sourced
A spirit is only as good as the materials used to make it. Great effort has been taken to showcase the unique qualities of the malt used in this whisky. We are putting malt back on the agenda.
