Unlike the traditional method of smoking malts, we’ve partnered with one of Australia's most respected coopers to smoke our single malt maturation casks with native wattleseed, along with a range of other favourite botanicals. This innovative technique imparts a discreet smoke and nuanced aroma, allowing the rich botanical spirit to shine.
This bold yet beautifully balanced whisky reveals notes of bacon cooked over a campfire, roasted macadamia, and a caramel fudge profile on the palate.

Flavour profile
Nose
Campfire, pork crackling, and dark roasted coffee beans combine beautifully with a malty caramel fudge backbone and more subtle notes of peach skins, lanolin and lantana stem.
Palate
Bacon cooked over a campfire, flaky shortbread and heavily roasted macadamia and hazelnut coat the palate, supported by papaya, leather, rose and baking spice.
Finish
Discreet smoke with a long and complex interplay of biscuit, fruit, roasted nuts and smokey bacon.
Local & Ethically Sourced Ingredients
Collaborating with one of Australia’s most respected coopers, we gently smoked Archie Rose Single Malt casks with iconic natural ingredients to create a truly distinctive series that continues our exploration of uniquely Australian smoked whisky.
The casks used to mature this single malt were smoked with native Australian wattleseed, delivering a whisky with notes of hazelnuts, Anzac biscuits and discreet smoke.

We collaborated with a multi-generational Australian family cooperage to carefully smoke the inside of our empty whisky casks with a range of botanicals. This patient process allows the flavour of each botanical to infuse into the timber itself, and in turn, to the whisky during maturation.

Wattle seeds need fire to germinate, so in burning this uniquely Australian ingredient to smoke our whisky casks, we're giving life to a whole new layer of flavour, and a whole new style of Australian single malt whisky.

Malted in NSW using locally sourced barley and Australian native stringybark wood smoke. Rich, smoky notes of Australian campfire and prosciutto.
