About
Since 2014, we've archived a case or two of every Australian spirit we've produced at both our Rosebery and Botany Distilleries. To celebrate our tenth birthday, from 21 October we'll be dropping a limited selection of this archival stock via our website, giving you the opportunity to grab a final bottle of your favourite Archie Rose spirit.
A bold navy-style rum crafted from a blend of three NSW molasses, creating a robust, complex, and well-balanced spirit. Aged in apera casks, it gains richness and a distinct Australian character. This rum honours NSW’s sugarcane heritage and reflects three explorations into individual molasses types—Fancy, Mill, and Refiners Molasses—showcased in previous releases. Expect a riotous butterscotch nose, followed by flavours of caramelised pineapple, hazelnut butter, and a dark caramel finish.
Cask
Apera Cask
Australian Apera is a fortified wine similar to Spanish sherry. It's used to season American or French Oak casks, offering a flavour profile that's usually made up of nutty and dried fruit notes like figs and prunes.

Tasting Notes
Nose
A rich cacophony of butterscotch, treacle and caramelised banana is joined by more subtle notes of papaya, passionfruit blossom, coconut and mocha.
Palate
A rich mouth coating palate of mango, caramelised pineapple and a touch of cedar that transitions into rock melon, guava, dried apricots and hazelnut butter.
Finish
A long and complex finish, with waves of molasses driven caramel and treacle intermingling with tropical fruits and a lingering florality.
