Matured for over five years in a 120L Australian Apera cask, the spirit has been bottled at a robust 73.9% ABV, offering a high-octane experience that remains remarkably poised. The journey begins with a vibrant nose of chinotto, blood orange rind, and homemade chocolate sauce, layered with the sophisticated aromatics of well-aged cognac and soft herbs.

With a texture that starts focused before broadening into a bold display of intensity, this expression delivers a sophisticated profile of hazelnut brittle and sweet tobacco. Despite its significant strength, the palate remains balanced, delivering a dense, mouth-filling sweetness of dates and fig jam. Yielding just 87 bottles, this is a powerful and singular expression that showcases the profound depth of our five-year-old stocks, culminating in a finish defined by its depth and enduring power.

Flavour profile

Nose

Opens with notes of chinotto, blood orange rind, homemade chocolate sauce and mixed soft herbs. There is fresh raspberry with dates and fig jam as well as polished floor boards and well aged cognac.

Palate

The palate is remarkably textured, beginning with a focused precision that builds in intensity to reveal decadent layers of sweet tobacco, praline truffles, and hazelnut brittle.
