About
A collision of peat and native wood smoked Single Malt Whiskies, matured in American oak maple syrup casks. This small-batch release is the nineteenth in our Trials & Exceptions series and combines native Australian stringybark malt and Scottish peated malt to produce a whisky with notes of maple syrup glazed smoked bacon, damper cooked on an Aussie campfire, and roasted nuts.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Maple syrup glazed smoked bacon, apricots and juicy mandarin combine with lightly toasted coconut and jacaranda blossoms.
Palate
Mouthfilling golden syrup drizzled over damper and peach transitions into campfire and roasted hazelnuts
Finish
A satisfying combination of subtle maple sweetness and drying oak is intermingled with smoke, nuts and floral notes.

Maple Syrup Double Smoked Single Malt Whisky offers notes of brown-sugar glazed smoky bacon on the nose along with juicy fruits and toasted coconut, leading to a palate of campfire-cooked damper with honey and roasted hazelnuts. A satisfying combination of subtle maple sweetness and oak intermingled with country pub fireplace rounds out the finish of this exceptional single malt.
