Since 2014, we've archived a case or two of every Australian spirit we've produced at both our Rosebery and Botany Distilleries. To celebrate our tenth birthday, from 21 October we'll be dropping a limited selection of this archival stock via our website, giving you the opportunity to grab a final bottle of your favourite Archie Rose spirit.

Released in 2019, as the only whisky of its kind in Australia, Chocolate Rye Malt Whisky was our fourth release under the Archie Rose Concepts label, featuring a single batch of eight casks. This whisky explores heavily roasted malts, a key step in our journey towards embracing more flavourful roasted varieties.

Showcasing chocolate roasted rye, rare malted rye, and pale malt, it yields flavours of caraway, mint, shortbread, violets, hot chocolate, and fruit jams. Matured in re-shaved, toasted, and charred Australian fortified wine (apera) casks, it adds notes of dried fruits and sultanas, complementing the creamy chocolate flavours.
