Archie Rose x Horisumi - Spring is the third release in a series of four rare gins made in collaboration with acclaimed tattoo artist Kian Forreal (Horisumi), each inspired by a different Japanese season.

This release celebrates spring, the most fragrant of the Japanese seasons. The hand-illustrated label depicts the hare, or ‘usagi’, a symbol of fertility in Japan and a trusted talisman against bad luck. He sits observing a bloom of vivid cherry blossom or ‘sakura’, dancing in the spring breeze.

Inspired by Horisumi’s label artwork, Archie Rose x Horisumi - Spring’s distillates include chrysanthemum offering notes of white musk, Australian-grown yuzu leaf with its unique herbaceous and citric accents and the subtle sweetness of fresh red shiso. Archie Rose x Horisumi - Spring is bold but nuanced, beginning sweet on the palate and building in intensity to a distinctly floral finish.

To serve, try it with Fentiman’s Light Tonic garnished with rockmelon, or accentuate its heady floral notes in a Gin Old Fashioned with a mandarin twist. At the Archie Rose Bar we’ll be serving it in the Shiso Fine – a Gin Old Fashioned with Shiso leaf syrup, lemon bitters and a lemon twist.

Note: As with previous Horisumi releases, the first 200 bottles sold will come hand-wrapped in a custom-made Japanese furoshiki wrap featuring the individual bottle number and spring kanji.
