Pineapple Sour
The world of Tiki is a wonderful place. It’s tropical, it’s carefree, it’s Mai Tai Roa Ae - which translates to ‘Out of this world - the best’ and is the phrase that gave us the name of one of Tikis favourite children; the Mai Tai. Tiki is also a great place to play and be creative with drinks. Pick things that come from the tropics and mix them with rum - you’re unlikely to have a bad time. Here we made a very simple Sour with fresh pressed pineapple juice. Sometimes when things are super limited, like this rum, booze hounds can be tempted to put the bottle on the shelf, to save it for some special day. Or to sparingly pour out the serves, 10mls at a time, to revere them. But why? This is rum. And it’s really good. It’s meant to be enjoyed. Play, have a good time, pretend to be a pirate. You have one life to live, let’s hope you get some Virgin Cane Rhum in it.
INGREDIENTS:
- 30 ml Virgin Cane Rhum
- 40 ml pineapple juice
- 20 ml lime juice
- 10 ml sugar syrup
- garnish with a wedge of pineapple, pineapple frond and mint leaf

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice, shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
Garnish and enjoy.
