The Hotel Georgia is an all too overlooked classic. Who knows why some drinks wedge themselves into our collective psyche and others bumble along the side of history, occasionally being dusted off and remembered?
The Hotel Georgia is one of those drinks, and we have no idea why. It’s a damn good drink. It’s layered, it’s complex, it’s light and it’s dreamy. And then it’s gone all too soon. It’s also made with things that all good bars will have lying around so there is no reason why you can’t have one in a bar near you tonight.
There are two acceptable variations on the garnish - an orange twist (the original 1950s choice) and a dusting of nutmeg (the 21st Century reboot). They’re both mighty fine. Why not try it both ways and decide for yourself?
